On August 15th, 2024, St Joseph’s School, Civil Lines proudly celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The entire school was adorned with the tricolors of the Indian flag, creating an atmosphere filled with the spirit of freedom and unity.
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag by the Patron of our School, Most Rev. Bishop Dr Matthew, accompanied by our esteemed Principal Rev. Fr Jeejo followed by the singing of the National Anthem by Elite Band.
A special performance by the school choir singing patriotic songs left the audience spellbound.
Ms Shashi Prava, our senior teacher, spoke about the significance of the day and motivated the students to enjoy the freedom with responsibility.
Saanvi Kedia,a student of Class 5-D,gave an inspiring speech about the importance of the day and saluted the freedom fighters.
Our Bishop and Principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Independence Day and urging students to contribute positively to the nation’s future.The speech was inspiring and instilled a sense of responsibility and patriotism in everyone present.
